Bacillus Megaterium
Bacillus megaterium colonizes emerging roots and releases organic acids (citric/oxalic/malic/tartaric/gluconic) to dissolve fixed P while phosphatases/phytases mineralize organic pools. Siderophores and phytohormones (IAA, GAs, cytokinins) further enhance uptake and root branching. Integrated into INM, it commonly enables ~25% reduction in mineral P without yield penalty, raises chlorophyll and vigor, and improves soil aggregation and microbial activity via EPS/organic exudates. Use as carrier powder, soluble powder (10⁹–10¹⁰ CFU/g), or liquid (≈10⁸ CFU/mL) for seed, soil, root dip, drench, or fertigation; avoid pesticide tank mixes and chlorinated water; target planting and early vegetative stages or pre-flower P peaks.

Enhances phosphorus availability in P-deficient or high-fixation soils.
Promotes stronger root growth through natural IAA and gibberellin production.
Improves crop vigor and yield via better nutrient uptake and energy metabolism.
Reduces need for synthetic phosphate fertilizers, lowering input costs.
Builds soil health by enriching beneficial microbes and improving structure.
Organic acid secretion: dissolves insoluble phosphates (Ca, Fe, Al phosphates) into plant-available forms.
Enzymatic activity: phosphatase and phytase enzymes release phosphorus from organic matter.
Root colonization: bacteria grow near roots, ensuring nutrients are released where plants can absorb them.
Phytohormone production: stimulates root elongation and branching for improved water and nutrient absorption.

Details
Recommended
Time to ApplyFrequency of Application
In-Furrow
500 g/10,000 sqm or ha
Apply directly into the seed furrow at planting. Ensure soil is moist for optimal microbial survival.
At the time of planting
Once per season
Soil Treatment
500 g/10,000 sqm or ha
Broadcast evenly over the soil and incorporate lightly with tillage or apply through irrigation.
Pre-planting or early vegetative stage
Once at time of planting; can be repeated after 4–6 weeks
Seed Treatment
100 g/10,000 sqm or ha (of seeds)
Coat seeds with inoculant using a sugar or gum arabic adhesive. Dry under shade before planting.
Just before planting. Ensure seeds are used within 24 hours of coating.
Once per season
