Bacillus Mucilaginosus
A spore-forming, rhizosphere-active PGPR that unlocks mineral nutrients already in your soil. Bacillus mucilaginosus solubilizes potassium (K) from feldspar/mica, co-solubilizes phosphorus (P) and silicon (Si), produces growth hormones (IAA), and helps plants tolerate stress. Broad crop compatibility; suitable for organic production.
To be used within 4 weeks. Available in 250 g and 10 L jugs.
B. mucilaginosus mobilizes potassium and silicon (and co-solubilizes phosphate) through secretion of citric/gluconic/oxalic acids, pH micro-gradients inside biofilms, and chelation/complexation on mineral surfaces. Spores confer excellent stability across climates and logistics. The strain enhances micronutrient availability (Fe/Zn/Cu/Mn), produces IAA and siderophores, and primes defenses (ISR). Benefits include 50–150 kg/ha equivalent available K mobilization (soil- and mineralogy-dependent), reduced K fertilizer needs, stronger stems/less lodging (cereal Si), improved drought/salinity performance, and better yields in K-deficient systems. Apply via seed/seedling coating, soil blending with compost, drenches, or fertigation (filtered supernatants for drip). Compatible with other biofertilizers and organics; tolerate a broad pH; avoid co-tanking with pesticides/strong salts and chlorinated water.
